Roberts Auto Enterprises, Inc 1970-current
The business was purchased in 1970 from Harley Wells, as a gas/service station, by Jim Roberts. He added the
Salvage Yard for used parts sales and began repairing wrecked vehicles for resale. During this time, the business has undergone 2 expansions and several renovations. Jim and his wife, Phyllis, operated the business until 2005.
In 2005 Curtis & Wendy Roberts acquired the business from Curtis' father. Having worked in the business since he was very young, it was a seamless transition. Curtis has been continually upgrading the operation and integrating technology into many areas of the business. The reputation for Roberts Auto is widely known for customer service after the sale, especially with their vehicle warranty program.
Jim MacDonald manages the incoming salvage. He disassembles the vehicles, labels and stores the useable parts.
Tylor MacDonald manages the Body Shop. He works his magic on collision vehicles, as well as repairable vehicles to be sold. Pam O'Laughlin will greet you when you call and ensure that your parts or repair needs are taken care of.
Roberts Auto is a strong supporter of the Recycling movement to advocate for a cleaner environment.
We are members of ARM, Automotive Recyclers of Michigan. We follow the Nationally accepted standards for dismantling vehicles in an environmentally safe manner. All fluids are drained from the vehicles and either reused, sold, or used as heating fuel for our "Clean Burn" heating unit.
